ABOUT THE EVENT
The Icebreaker Sports Gala invites the Kamloops community to come together for an evening supporting mental wellness in sports.
Taking place on Saturday, September 19, 2026, the gala will feature motivational speakers, personal stories, and a live question-and-answer panel with Stanley Cup champions Joe Watson and Mark Recchi. The evening will explore confidence, performance pressure, identity and long-term emotional health while encouraging open and supportive conversations around mental wellness in sports.
Whether you are connected to sports or simply care about mental health in our community, you are welcome to be part of the evening. Guests will also enjoy live music and dancing and have access to our "sports lounge", tradeshow, and silent auction
Proceeds will support T.E.A.M. (Together Empowering Athletes Mental Wellness), a Kamloops Game Changers Society initiative that provides free seminars, workshops, training and resources for athletes, coaches and parents.
Tickets are $197 per person or $1,400 for a table of eight.
